northofscotland...
This part of Scotland is the first and last point of reference as you sail to the Northern Isles. Departing from the industrial part of Aberdeen the ferry picks its way through deep sea tugs before making for the exposed North Sea.
On the routes departing from the far north of Caithness a dramatic cliff coastline dominates the skyline.
The ferries in this area are the largest to operate in the Northern Isles Network as they ferry thousands of passengers a year to the Islands.

shetlandislands...
The hundreds of islands of all sizes that make up the Shetland Isles are some of the most rugged and awe inspiring around. The remoteness of the islands has always made the sailing North an adventure.
Seafaring has always dominated Shetlands past, and with its modern network of inter island ferries you can easily explore the most northerly tip of the United Kingdom....some say standing at Muckle Flugga is like standing at the end of the world...
The remote communities rely on some unique ferries that serve them to bring good and essentials as often as the weather allows!

orkneyisles...
A tranquil bolt hole for thousands of tourists and holiday makers the Orkney isles lie an hours sail north of the Scottish Mainland - making the 'island experience' all that closer.
The calm and tranquil beaches on the islands lead up to towering cliffs battered by Atlantic storms - stunning to view from a safe place!
Busy Inter-Island ferries make lifeline journeys to the spread out communities that make up the Orkneys.
